This is Entec’s fifth (and hopefully “final & forever”) home in the energy province of New Zealand. Having been spread across multiple sites for the past few years, it’s great to have all Taranaki-based people and all functions co-habitating on the same site – excellent for communication, keeping our culture alive and well, and enabling us to showcase our one-stop shop to visitors.
Our guest of honour – Minister for Energy Simeon Brown – had to reschedule at the eleventh hour but was kind enough to make a special visit a few days later, to get the tour and unveil the plaque.

The brand-new office building houses our internal “centre of excellence” which supports both our New Zealand and Australian businesses with design, engineering, drafting, estimating and project management functions. There are excellent workspaces for our management and admin teams, hot desks for technicians completing paperwork when back at base, and overflow workspaces for clients who regularly spend time at our facility for FAT and pre-commissioning activities.
Our gas detection laboratory is truly world-class, offering rapid turnaround times for repairs, service and calibrations, and managing our large rental fleet of personal and area gas detectors. This laboratory undergoes annual quality control auditing to retain its status as an accredited service and fulfilment centre.
Our rotating equipment team has large parts and workshop facilities, enabling efficient and well-organised rebuilding of components and blocks for gas engines and compressors. We have a demarcated clean room for the work required for compressor valves and other precision components.
And our switchboard and prefabricated plant room departments have large and dedicated workshop areas, with room for future expansion. Since opening the PPR workshop in January 2026, it has hosted electrical buildings for diverse applications including;

We’re very proud of this site and the quality of the work we’re producing here. We love showing visitors around, so please call us to arrange a visit next time you’re in the region!
