Hazardous Area Electrical Inspector, Industrial Electricians - New Plymouth


The role
We are looking for experienced industrial electricians, and experienced hazardous area electrical inspectors.

As an experienced tradesperson operating in the hazardous area environment, you will need to demonstrate excellent workmanship, productivity and attention to detail to both your hands-on work and your documentation. You will also need to have initiative and the ability to self-manage your work.

Skills required
To be considered you need:
• to be a NZ registered electrician (for the Industrial Electrician roles)
• And to be a NZ registered hazardous area endorsed electrical inspector (for the Inspector roles)
• to be a problem solver,
• to have good attention to detail,

Industrial Electrician, Dual-trade I&E Tech - Taupo (or wider Central NI)


The role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Industrial Electricians, Instrumentation Technicians or Dual-trade I&E Technicians. Hazardous area training and experience is preferred. We execute installation projects and service activities nationwide, predominantly in the North Island. Entec’s teams are deployed out of locations in Auckland, Waikato, Taupo and Taranaki and these current vacancies will be based out of our new Taupo branch, working predominantly across the Central North Island region.

As an experienced tradesperson operating in industrial environments, you will need to demonstrate excellent workmanship, productivity and attention to detail to both your hands-on work and your documentation. You will also need to have initiative and the ability to self-manage your work.

Skills required
To be considered you would need:
• recognised industry qualifications in your particular trade,
• at least two years’ relevant experience is preferred,
• note, for the right candidate with the right attitude, we will consider senior apprentices or people with less relevant experience if we think you’ll fit well into our team,
• an ability to interpret schematic drawings,
• to be a problem solver,
• to have good attention to detail,
• to be an effective communicator,
• to be able to help create and work to production schedules and,
• to be willing to work as part of a team.

Instrumentation Technician, Dual-trade I&E Tech - Auckland


The role
Due to business growth we have a vacancy for a qualified and experienced Instrumentation Technician within our Auckland I&E service business. A dual-trade I&E Tech would be preferable, but we’d also consider an Instro especially if he/she had limited electrical registration.

This is a permanent position, to carry out Instrumentation service, calibration and maintenance across a range of Entec’s clients, and within our IANZ calibration lab.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Instrumentation Technician, or dual-trade I&E Technician. Hazardous area training and experience is preferred. We execute installation projects and service activities nationwide, predominantly in the North Island. Entec’s team is deployed out of locations in Auckland, Waikato and Taranaki and this current opportunity is an Auckland-based role.

The Auckland team operates across a range of industry types including food & beverage, dairy, chemical manufacture and storage, heavy manufacturing, and energy & utilities. Our Auckland branch is also the home for our IANZ accredited calibration lab and flow meter calibration rig, plus our bespoke temperature sensor manufacturing business. Industrial Electricians, Instrumentation Technician, Dual-trade I&E Tech, Instrument Fitters - New Plymouth


The role
If you are an experienced industrial electrician, instrumentation technician, dual-trade technician, instrument fitter or are well-advanced in your apprenticeship in electrical or instrumentation, then we’re interested in talking to you. We currently have vacancies for all the above for permanent positions based in Taranaki. We have roles to suit tradespeople with maintenance or construction experience.

Entec’s instrumentation and electrical business is growing at a stellar pace. The size of our team has doubled in the last few years, but our workload is growing even quicker. Hence, we are looking for experienced tradespeople or senior apprentices to fill both maintenance and project roles within our large I&E business.

Pay rates will be commensurate with relevant experience and any other skills you can bring to the business. Penal rates and other allowances are also paid.
